Araldite® help ORECA 01 team to Le Mans Race Victory

With help from Huntsman Advanced Materials, the ORECA 01 racing car took the chequered flag and champions’ champagne at Silverstone beating off tough competition from Aston Martin. 

Much rested on the pre-season work when RenShape® SL resins were used to make 400 different configurations in just two months.  RenShape® BM 5055 tooling boards were also extensively employed for prototype moulds for carbon pre-pegs, and of course Araldite® adhesives and composites - the front bonnet of the ORECA racing car is made of more than 15 parts, but looks like one part.

The ORECA car has won podium finishes throughout the season culminating in the win at Silverstone.
